Finding Rhythm with Animal Flow

  • Uptown Movement 219 Sherman Avenue New York, NY, 10034 United States (map)

GROUNDED. CONTROLLED. PRECISE. DEEP.

A slower, more intentional exploration of floor-based movement, strength, and embodied control.

This workshop is an invitation to deepen your relationship with the ground. Instead of chasing speed or intensity, we’ll explore how to move with clarity, precision, and internal awareness. Through locomotion patterns, weight shifts, and subtle transitions, you’ll build the kind of strength that feels intelligent, responsive, and deeply embodied.

Drawing inspiration from Animal Flow and mobility training, this session focuses on quality of movement over quantity, helping you refine how you organize your body in space.

You’ll develop:

  • Greater joint control and mobility

  • Smoother transitions between low level positions

  • Deeper core integration

  • A stronger sense of body awareness

  • Confidence in moving slowly and with intention

The class will include a guided sensory warm-up, technical movement explorations, floor-based coordination drills, partner observation moments, and a final structured phrase to integrate everything.
