Eoghan O’Kelly
Founder of Uptown Movement, Eoghan is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Kettlebell Coach and as a Certified Physical Preparation Specialist Coach. He believes that you can never stop learning this trade and luckily loves that he is in a profession that forces him to stay ahead with the latest science and practices in health and fitness. He has learned from many different disciplines and continues to learn to make sure he can provide the very best programming available.
As a trainer he specializes in helping people move pain free and regain strength after injuries.
Ryan Jacobs
Ryan is the manager of Uptown Movement and one of the first faces you will see at the gym. A certified NASM and RKC trainer, Ryan is also a coach who teaches classes. He came to his love for helping others through rehabbing injuries of his own as a physical artist. His passion is for guiding students through long term physical and mental development, leading to lasting habits and tangible results. Ryan is an expert at providing our members the appropriate progressions and regressions, making sure everyone is challenged appropriately.
Austin Jacobs
Austin is a member of the Client Success Team at Uptown, guiding new members as they begin their fitness journey. A NASM and PPSC Certified Coach with a background in dance, martial arts and sport, Austin creates a space where every member feels challenged and successful.
Hassiem Muhammad
Hassiem is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist. Movement has been a part of his life from a very young age, as he began training in martial arts at the age of 8 and over the past two decades has added dance, gymnastics, stage combat, stunts, juggling, and flow to his repertoire-all of which he brings to his facilitation style as a coach. An avid hiker and backpacker, when not at the gym during the week, Hassiem can be found (or not) off-grid somewhere upstate. Uptown Movement has been Hassiem's home base as a coach for the past 6 years, and he couldn't be prouder to be a part of the best coaching staff in New York City. He holds additional certifications from MovNat (Lvls 1 & 2) as well as 8 stage combat certifications.
Isabele Rosso
Isabele is a Brazilian multidisciplinary movement educator with 25+ years of experience as a dancer and 18 years teaching. Certified in Functional Range Conditioning, Animal Flow, and 500-hour Yoga TT, her guidance also draws inspiration from dance, yoga, and somatics. She is passionate about helping people understand their bodies by listening to movement from inside out. Isabele helps her clients feel more ownership over their bodies, gain freedom of movement, and trust themselves when pain is present. Her practice is rooted in holistic, open-minded, and sustainable approaches to movement—emphasizing mind-body connection, self-expression, and human exchange.
Outside coaching, Isabele loves the beach, sports, TV series, and hand-pulled noodles.
Jamie Botti
Jamie is a NCSF certified personal trainer. She also holds a certification in Kettle Bells, is a certified Vinyasa Yoga instructor, and a certified Universal Speed Rating Coach. Jamie enjoys training people of all different ages and fitness levels. With over a decade of experience in the field and through training private clients and leading group classes, Jamie has gained the knowledge and skills necessary to guide her clients to their short and long term goals. Through working on her clients' mobility, flexibility, strength and conditioning, she helps them create better movement patterns, gain strength, get faster, develop a love for their own bodies, and even build a healthier mindset.
Joanna Nobbe
Joanna is a physical therapist and coach at Uptown Movement. She started at Uptown as a client in 2016 and the gym was so good that she went on to join the staff! Joanna is a certified specialist in orthopedics and outside her work at the gym she currently treats people living with complex chronic conditions such as dysautonomia and long COVID. Her mission at Uptown Movement is to bridge the gap between healthcare and the fitness/wellness space to keep people strong and healthy and ideally out of the medical system for as long as possible!
Kelsey Pressnall
Originally from Kansas, Kelsey made her way East working in theatre and fitness before putting down roots in NYC where she lives with her wife Hannah, dog Frankie and cat Fern! She is a NASM-certified personal trainer, a PROnatal Specialist, PPSC and RKC coach who enjoys paving the way for clients who can find the gym setting intimidating or inaccessible. Kelsey is incredible at creating inclusive and welcoming environments for everyone regardless of their experience.
Ro Sauer
Ro is a personal trainer who specializes in strength training, injury prevention, and pain-free performance for people of all ages, body types, and experience levels. Since 2019, she has helped clients move better, feel stronger, and rebuild confidence in their bodies—whether they’re stepping into the gym for the first time, getting back after an injury, or chasing new performance goals. Her approach blends science-based programming with real-world coaching, emphasizing proper form, sustainable progress, and a positive relationship with fitness. Ro bridges the gap between rehab and performance training—helping clients not only recover but thrive. Her mission: to empower people to move without pain, build strength that lasts, and discover what their bodies are truly capable of.
Thomas Leñador
Calming and encouraging, Thomas is a NASM-certified personal trainer and a Juilliard-trained dancer with over a decade of professional experience in movement training. As a movement coach, he is passionate about empowering you with the freedom of movement your body can naturally have. Thomas loves learning and is always eager to translate complex concepts into simple ideas that you can apply immediately.
