How we schedule classes

Waitlists, Scheduling, and How You Can Help

We see the waitlists.

On one hand, it’s incredible. We didn’t expect this level of demand. On the other, we know how frustrating it is to feel like you’re fighting the app every week.

What’s happening

Strength & Mobility classes are filling fast. That tells us engagement is high in the work that matters most. These classes are the bedrock of long-term health, strength, and movement quality.

What surprised us is that conditioning classes didn’t absorb more of that demand. Based on conversations, we expected them to play a bigger role. That hasn’t happened yet.

We love full classes, but we absolutely do not want you having to fight with the app to get access.

This schedule is new. Nothing is locked in. We’re actively adjusting as we learn what actually works.

The immediate change

We’re adding four Strength & Mobility classes:

  • Mondays & Wednesdays at 12pm

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5pm

These start Monday, February 9th.

How we think about scheduling

We don’t believe in one tool, rigid systems or chasing trends. We believe in concepts and outcomes. That’s what allows us to stay adaptable as our practice grows and science evolve.

We’re not here to entertain or to chase sweat. We’re here to help you build a sustainable movement practice that develops awareness, capacity, and autonomy.

That’s why Strength & Mobility is the foundation. It’s the base that everything else rests on.

Conditioning, Flow, Calisthenics, and other specialist classes allow you to tailor based personal need and how you want to express movement. They matter, but they don’t replace the foundation.

Everyone benefits from mindful strength and mobility work. Not everyone benefits from high-intensity conditioning. Everyone can benefit from Flow, but not everyone feels drawn to it. Our schedule reflects that reality.

How you influence the schedule

We are always asking, listening and observing so as to adjust to your needs.

But the clearest signal isn’t what’s requested, it’s what people attend.

When you show up consistently, you’re telling us:

  • This time works

  • This class supports my training

  • This deserves space

When a class stays under-attended, even if it’s talked about often, the data tells a different story. We have to respond to reality, not intention.

That’s how we reduce waitlists, add the right classes, and keep the gym healthy long term.

A quick refresher on the class system

Strength & Mobility
This is the foundation. For most of you, this should make up the bulk of your weekly training. Strength, usable range of motion, and long-term progress are built here. That’s why these classes are prioritized and why they fill up quickly.

Conditioning
Conditioning supports your strength work. It builds work capacity, fatigue tolerance, and cardiovascular fitness. These classes are a mix of bodyweight and loaded movements performed at higher intensities. Think kettlebells, animal flow basics, sleds, bikes, and ski ergs. Everything is scalable and all levels are welcome.

Flow
Flow layers complexity, coordination, and expression on top of your base. These classes work best when strength and mobility are already in place.

Calisthenics
This is skill-building and bodyweight mastery. A lifetime pursuit. Strength and mobility provide a strong base here, but if you’re looking for a challenging and engaging practice, this is a great option.

Foundations

While often used as an entry point to the gym, Foundations is a fully scalable full-body strength and mobility class. No one in the gym would outgrow it. It includes bodyweight work, loaded strength, and fluidity, all with an educational focus. Intensity is adjusted simply by changing load.

How you can help

You have more influence over the schedule than you might think.

A few practical ways to help:

  • Vote with your feet. If a class works for you, attend it consistently.

  • Use waitlists responsibly. If you join one, treat it like a real booking and remove yourself if plans change.

  • Avail of all the resources available to you if you are confused about what to attend and how that supports your goals, email me, ask a coach, talk to Ryan. No question too small.

  • Talk to us. Tell us what works and what doesn’t in your real life.

We do our best not to guess for the schedule as this transition happens we’re watching attendance, listening carefully, and adjusting week by week.

A word on waitlists

Our waitlist cancellation policy tries to take in the realities of life. We know stuff happens and some times you can’t make it to class. That’s why we only ask for a two hours notice to cancel class. The problem, two hours may not be enough notice to take class if a spot opens up. Therefore we don’t enable automatic placement in class…in case you can’t make it. That’s why we ask to be mindful of your cancellation frequency and waitlist usage. Removing yourself from the waitlist if you are no longer taking that class is very helpful to both your fellow members and to us from a real data point of view.

Final thought

We’re encouraged by the demand and committed to improving your experience. Getting this right takes time, communication, and shared responsibility.

We’ll keep adjusting thoughtfully. Please help by showing up, staying engaged, and trusting the process while we fine-tune the schedule.

Thank you you so much for trusting us. We do not take that responsibility lightly!
